Kabiyesi Emerges New Lagos State PMAN Governor


 


Sir Kareem Ayinde Olomide Osoba otherwise called Kabiyesi has emerged the new governor of Lagos State chapter of Performing Musicians Employers Association (PMAN) unopposed for the second time.
He emerged on Thursday, 15 June, 2017 at the peaceful election conducted at AP Club, Alaagomeji, Yaba. Lagos by officials of the Lagos State council of Nigeria Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress, while an official of the Censors Board was there as observer.
Other emerged officers include Sikiru Ayinde Lawal (Provost); Mrs. Solarin Modupe Janet (Welfare Officer 2); Gbenro Segun (Welfare Officer 1); Edozie Tony Mike (PRO); Blessing Ayobami Odejimi (Treasurer); Ogayemi Sunday Ebenezer (Ogunmols Adeola Abigail (2nd Vice Chairman) and Alhaji Fatai Tijani Bulala (1st Vice Chairman).
 All were elected unopposed except the position of the 2nd Vice chairman, which Ogayemi Sunday Ebenezer contested with Ogunmola Adeola Abigail. He polled 14 votes against Ogunmola's 41. Also, Ganiyu Abiodun Mayegun, who aspired for the post of 1st Vice chairmanstepped down for the eventual winner.
In a chat with newsmen shortly after the election, the Idogo, Ogun State born Fuji musician pledged to improve on his past achievement, assuring members of taking the association to higher pedestal term.
Kabiyesi, a hotelier was also a former governor o Fuji Musicians Association of Nigeria, Lagos State chapter for two terms.
